ravena_kadeSo Tuesday we were evacuated from the building...Vice Presidents coming out of offices saying "Get out. Go Home Now" We bugged out like I did back on 9/11. We received a text ay 6PM that we would not go back until Monday.
Worked remote on Wednesday and at 6 PM received a text that the building was open and we should report to work Thursday. I texted the boss to ask if she wanted us in or stay home. We had planned to be in all week because the guys from Europe were here. She said to come in.
I go in Thursday and it was just me and the boss. She was a bit peeved. She said that I was the only one that contacted her. I told her I was old school business operations. We have a project that needs to be done you get in and do it. Then on other days we can be flexible. She thanked me for having the sense to come in. She then called the people that lived close...like could walk...and told them to come in.
Found out that the reason for the bug out was because 2 empty gun clips had been found in a bathroom. When we left the cops came in and they found the gun that belonged to the clips. We could have had a live shooter in the building. So much for being secure. Glad nothing happened.
Today I went in after I went with Dad for a pain clinic appointment. He had a cortisone shot for his back I hope it does the trick. He needs to exercise to build up his EF rate in his heart. Right now he gets winded easily. I hope he can improve.

Too many of the new aides we have at the hospital are just there to pick up a pay check. They don't have an interest in the job itself. :o :o :o
