ravena_kadeYesterday only 2 of us showed up. Since teh boss said people with kids probably couldn't find childcare on short notice that they didnt have to be in the office all week. The favorite associate person didnt show up...because she had kids...her kids are all away at college... but since she had kids she didnt come in. Oi.
While funny...I had to go over her work with the person from Europe. He then wanted to go over my work. The boss was supposed to sit with us, but she didnt. At one point I called over my shoulder to see if she was listening as I needed to clarify the other associate's work.
While annoying Im glad I got that out of the way. I am not sure he "got" everything I was saying. I know enough about testing that I can ask questions to actually test his understanding and then I would put everything in terms of a work flow so he could see how I needed to use it and if we agreed.
The other person that came in was listening and thought I handled the situation like I was in charge. I told her that I did this for 10 years in my insurance job. The user has to try and drive the bus, so to speak. If we dont then these people fly back to Europe and we are left with trash. She was nervous as she was shy. I told her not to worry as the person sitting with her seems thoughtful and was very polite. He is listening. When it was her turn the Boston Boss did sit with her.
Later she asked why the Boston Boss did not sit with me. I said she either figuredI had it covered or our styles just dont mesh. Perhaps a bit of both.
