I have a cousin who is really keen on genealogy. He found out that we are connected (on my Mother's side) to Elisabeth Proctor from the Salem witch trials. She was not executed because she was pregnant and freed after. He husband was also accused and was executed.

The funny thing is that I have a mark that Governor Winthrop would have marked me as a witch... maybe it does mark me as one. Im down for it ;-)

It's easy to forget just how late Salem was as a witch trial.

Indeed. I knew a great great grandmother that was born in 1860 and I know her Mother and Mother's Mother were also over 100. Sadly medical people told me that my Mom was so healthy when she broke her arm that she would make it over 100. Didnt happen. I hope its not me
