Feb. 14th, 2023 10:38 pmThere are days I wish I had a beach buddy.
At times I find myself really upset that I cant go to North Carolina. My brain knows it would have been a shit show with ALL the cousins, but waking up everyday to walk the beach would have been worth it.
I have too many sea shells about the place. I think I am hoarding them. Most likely, well, definitely, some sort fo coping mechanism.
Dad really likes clam chowder, but should not have it as it's high in sodium. Found a low sodium recipe and made it yesterday. Tasted like gray water from the laundry. Back to the drawing board. I am not doing well with this low sodium cooking =( He doesn't complain. To me it feels like a punishment.
Found a brand of frozen french fry that is only 20 mg of sodium for 14 fries. I will have to try them...and just salt mine. I can toss them in the air fryer and make burgers. ground beef isnt bad for sodium.
Malterre sent me some lovely chocolates.... really really nice. They have sea salt on them. I savor each grain of salt... mmmmmm
I have secured 90 days of Dad's arrhythmia medics... yay. $764.00 CHOKE, That is with the insurance. Without its $700 for 30 days.
Dad had a CT scan on Monday. The results showed up on my email tonight. There are nodules in his lungs. Could be nothing, could be cancer. The recommendation is to check them in 6 months or a year. They are common and most times are benign. Since he was ventilated with the open heart surgery it could be some scarring. Im trying to think of it just like the lump in my boob...something to watch.
Hibernation is almost over. I need to get out.
