ravena_kadeMy team lead in Pennsylvania called to check in on me. I asked if she had headphones on...she did... I didnt want her teen daughter to hear me explaining what I was upset.
My main point was that I had done massive amounts of training to move VISA, wrote documentation, headed up meetings...not really out of my personal scope, but out of the scope for this job, and all I got was 50 cents and someone that is never in because of personal issues, someone always looking to gossip and not help gets a promotion that comes with a big raise. They gave that promotion out at the cost of giving merit increases to people who have busted their ass.
I also pointed out that since I was the last grunt standing that I may be the next to be laid off...so learn what you can from me about the VISA account so she can take over the reconciliation. If she asks I will train... If she doesn't it's her loss.
The team lead said that after the announcement she and another associate were talking and the other was angry because she as an associate was called at midnight for errors on the system, has to wrote all sorts of doc, is being made to travel, etc and the person who got the promotion acts like she is 12 and doesn't help with anything. Basically they were as stunned as I was, but the anger wasn't there. Mostly because they are in another state and cant see the crap this person does and talks about.
Oh well. I need the job. My situation wont be like this forever. I need a package. 2025 they want to rip up the building and we all may be let go, or asked to work remote. Frankly the bank doesn't like us little people working from home so I think it will be lay offs. Even if that doesn't happen. The Boss leaves when she gets medicare. 2 years.
