I am livid beyond words.

Rage Rage Rage

2 promotions were given out today. TWO. One to a woman that truly deserves it. The other to a cockroach grifter.

It also means that I am the only one on my team...ONLY ONE not with an analyst title. The ONLY one that has to use the stupid time card computer.

Once I could get out of the conference room I was trapped in for the announcement I spent an hour in the parking lot in a fitful rage.

The only good think is that maybe this means I am targeted for lay off. No one can blame me for taking a pay cut and not being able to take care of Dad if I am let go.

The maddening is the fact that I just cant quit.

I dream of quitting every time I walk through the door at work, and walk out the door in the morning, and sitting at home waiting to go into work in the evening, etc etc etc...

The other night I actually got to work on my own station, but then at 3 am I had to go to another station and cover a nurse's break. Then back to my station only to be told at 4:45 I was being pulled to another station to sit with a patient for the rest of the shift. I got up there and the patient basically slept for the rest of the shift. ARGH!!!!!!
I am so tired of being yanked around like that simply because they can't hire enough staff.
We have literally being short aides for decades. Maybe if they paid us better and treated us better people might actually apply for the jobs.

I dont understand why places keep themselves so short staffed.

When I was laid off from the insurance company I applied for jobs at the hospitals...anything that didnt need a degree and they wouldn't even look at me. I even want to clean . I just wanted varied hours.

It's not nice to say, but you look at some of those that are being hired, and they obviously aren't that picky.
And starting pay is really quite good.
41 years pay sucks, but starting pay is good. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
