Dec. 9th, 2022 09:03 pmToday's medical appointment was much better than yesterday.
The Nurse practitioner was prepared for us. She was very familiar with my Dad's hospital record and was able to answer a lot of questions. Dad still has only 20% EF rate and it may never get better. He may be disabled. She thought his BP was okay today considering how low it had been. it was the lowest normal. She gave us some guidance and we felt better.
She explained the salt issue so I could understand it. She gave guidance on how to cheat on the diet. My plan is to keep him 90% healthy food low sodium and he can cheat 10%. She even suggested that I take his BP after something that may have higher sodium and see how it affects him. The caution is that if he goes all salt all the time he will build up fluid and have heart failure.
We went over his blood tests from yesterday (I received the results last night) and we agree that he is a bit anemic.
I received an email from the cardiologist confirming that he is a bit anemic, but he was anemic when he was in the hospital and his blood levels have gotten better since he has been home and eating home cooked food (the hospital food sucked). He also said we should hear from the heart failure specialist in a couple days.
I have a PTO day on 12/22 to take Dad to his work Christmas Party.
Dad wants to go to the shop on 12/26 to supervise the men the boss hired to lift and move things... Dad has moved the shop 10 times over the 63 years he has worked there. He will just sit in a chair and supervise. I will sit in a chair next to him and supervise him.
I wish I could have a vacation day where I could just relax.
Tomorrow I have some banking to do for Dad and then I head out on the train to a Christmas party. That will be nice.

Wouldn't that be nice?
This is my weekend off. Half way through the night at work Friday night I realized, Dang I have to get and do dad's laundry, so I was up later then normally picking that up and seeing dad for a little while. Then I slept crappy, again. Got up early and did some Christmas shopping. Now I have slept most of the night away which means I won't sleep well today. :o
Thought about going to a movie tonight/Sunday night. We'll see if that happens. :o
I still need to do my laundry and decorate the tree, and make out Christmas cards, vacuum, etc etc etc...
At least I got the dishes washed. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoy your Christmas party. :)
Hugs, Jon
