Dad is not home. They wanted to observe him. They say one more night.

While I was there I saw his heart rate go from 90 to 95 frequently. I was told his pace maker was set to 90. I was told that this was within parameters. Is his heart fighting the pacemaker? The thing was is that he is sitting still. When happens when he moves around?

I feel I need to get him to the cardiologists office to learn how to go forward. The surgeon is all about the bypass surgery. The hospital just wants him stable enough to free up a room...and I am happy they are not pushing him out the door.

My trouble is that 6 years ago today I had to do something that tore the heart out of me. There were ups and downs this same week...with no one telling us what was really happening until they told me I had to make a decision. I know I did what she wanted... but it killed a piece of me to do it.

I want visiting nurses to come and a PT person if I can get it.

Oh well. I have work to do while I am alone. I told Dad to call if they say I ca get in before noon.

Honey, they had to crack him open and fuck around with his heart. He isn't coming right home. Hasn't someone spoken to you about him going to a rehab facility?

The surgeon is all about the bypass surgery.
That describes Cardiac surgeons to a T.
They seriously only care about the surgery they did. Everything else doesn't exist as far as they are concerned. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A consult with a cardiologist sounds like a good plan. :o
