... and in other news the exam I had this week shows that I have popcorn in my left boob.

Fun. I just love getting test results via email.

It might be 3 weeks before someone will call and let me know about that. I know it needs more pictures.

Popcorn? As in multiple cysts? :(

Not so much cyst. It is calcification s that look like popcorn. Stupid name. Nothing that can be felt. It could be just fibers tissue that needs watching or it could be cancer. I know have to wait for a phone call that could be anytime in the next 2 weeks.

What bothers me is that they send results like this.

It also bothers me that today all I wanted to do is quit work... and now I cant in case I need the insurance.

Calcifications are very common, about half of women over 50 have them and most, as I'm sure you know, are benign. Of course that doesn't stop anyone worrying but on the positive side it does mean that any calcifications that are found to be pre-cancerous can be treated successfully. *Hugs*.

I have heard of calcifications. Never the popcorn wording. Make me thing there are a lot. I just want to schedule the next imaging but cant until I get a phone call. .

Nope. It's a popcorn calcifications. I guess they look like popcorn...instead of regular calcifications. The could be cancer they could be nothing. Its the hurry up and wait thing.

the only test results you should get in the mail are "You're perfectly healthy." Everything else should be explained to you in person.

Agreed. I always find the most horrible diseases when I google for symptoms. =(
