It was a good beach day even if the sun did not cooperate. Fog rolled in so my tan is the same, but the rest of the day was lovely. The tide was at it's highest and the waves were rough so it really wasn't a shell day. I did luck out and found a couple horse shoe crab molts for an art project and some drift wood.
The train situation has changed again. I did not understand that they consider North Station part of the new Sommervile that they had to shut down for emergency repairs. North station has been there over 60 years so new never entered my mind. This meant that the busses that where shutting people from North Station to places north ended up being 4 blocks away from the station so the shuttles that were replacing the orange and green lines could park. Tons of busses, tons of people.. lots of confusion.
I also read about a rumor that they will have an emergency shut down of the redline..the line I take to get everywhere...before winter. Oh boy.
Today will be a cousin day. They are finalizing reservations for the North Carolina trip at a place called "Sea Forevermore" Its a 10 bedroom/8 bathroom house 300 ft off of the beach. I hope I can go. It will only cost $700 plus food. My only requirement is diet pepsi and a key to the place as I plan to hit the beach for some sunrise photos. The boss wont approve until February as everyone else has to pick there days before me. Basically my plan is to talk up the trip so coworkers know my dates and murder anyone who wont let me go

I am sad that dad wont go. Leaving him alone for over 2 weeks bothers me... but as he gets older I know I wont be able to go that long. I want to take this trip as an opportunity for photography. That and I have not had a REAL vacation since I bought the house in 2007. This is too cheap a trip to pass on.

I hear you there. I have friends taking trips this year and they would like me to go along, but I can't leave my dad alone, so no trips for me. :(
