ravena_kadeWell the trip to the luxury shopping mall wasn't a luxury. It turns out that it was not an enclosed air conditioned mall like I expected. It was a collection of buildings spread very far apart and all outside. It was already 90 degrees when we arrive at 10 AM. Too hot to traps around...some of the stores were so far apart that you would have to drive to them. That and most of the stores did did not open until noon. Too hot to sit and wait. The shoe store I wanted to go to was at the other end of the buildings and opened at 10:30.
We went there and I found 2 pairs of shoes for Dad... getting him to try on shoes is like dealing with a 6 year old. By the time that was done it was lunch time Sowetans stopped at a restaurant to grab a bite.
Once home it was too hot to do anything outside (glad I watered the garden at 6 am today) so I hid in my room in the a/c, binge watched a favorite old TV show (Dr. Who) and tidied up my room.
Tomorrow is my last vacation day. I hope to get to the Aquarium.
I go back to work Tuesday. I have some anxiety over what I might find and have to clean up. They have also changed my in office days. I now have to go in Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I will miss my quiet in office Thursdays. I could get so much done not being on a VPN and with no chatter.

Date: 2022-08-08 12:29 pm (UTC)I’m not sure a mall as you describe it deserves the term. Outdoor shopping area? Something like that. But, it isn’t what I think of as a mall.
The Wrentham outlets don’t have connections between the stores, but at least they are close to each other.
