Aug. 3rd, 2022 06:12 amI spent yesterday at Revere Beach. Revere Beach was the first public beach in the United States. Not sure what that meant back then...did only rich people have the right to sand? I know now tat the rich people re trying to keep everyone from getting to a shore because they want to plop a house...or giant mega dwelling place on it and cut everyone else off from the sea... but I digress...
It was nice. The water refreshing. There were no unusual shells, but that is okay...I was combing a wrack line like some shore bird looking for shells and things...and inspiration,,,and peace...
I tried taking photos but the light was all wrong. Tat was okay too, because at least I got out there and did it.
I stopped at a local food place across from the beach and had the best Lobster roll this summer. I am either becoming a lobster snob, or some places just dont know how to steam a lobster ;-) After that I made my way back down the beach and stopped at a sidewalk/patio type bar that pooped up between an ultra luxury condo complex and a rather swank hotel and had a Birthday drink... and I could not help but to slurp down some oysters... beach combing always makes me hungry ;-) I hobnobbed with the rich before heading to the ruble train station underneath all that wealth.
When I cam home I went down stairs to turn on the a.c for Dad before he got home. I dont trust the old wiring in the living room to ave it on when I am not hime I saw that he left we a Birthday balloon with a Chinese envelope with birthday money in it. He doesnt do cards. That was nice. It paid for the new lens I bought =) We went to a restaurant that he likes and I had a baked stuffed lobster that was really nice. (today is a salad day for sure)
I am off to Manchester by the Sea today to the singing beach.
