Had a nice weekend with Phoenix Swords in a small Connecticut Faire. It was nice, but so very humid on Saturday. There was supposed to be rain for the day, but it only rained for a couple minutes.

All the shows went well. I do like throwing fish. Some fish took some abuse so I will need to buy some more.

One thing I liked about the faire was that there were artists vendors. Its been so long since I have spoken to artsy folks. Each artist with a different style. Some were fantasy based. One women did a lot with birds of prey. One artist had surreal portraits...of of Princess Dianna that had an extra set of eyes on her face.

There was also a bubble magic act that was fun. She had a bubble rig that was 2 poles withe some rope ted on them that had various loops that made multiple bubbles ...many of them were huge. It was very pretty to watch. I tried to get some photos as I want to make a painting of it. I also think it might be fun to take such a rig to the beach at my house and play. I did check with one of the folks in the sword group who works with environmental issues in city planning and he said that the bubbles will not cause a problem.

I did get a faire amount of sun for the weekend. The only odd is ut seems that the copper pendent I was wearing caused me to break out because of the heat. I guess I will go back to sterling silver or stone jewelry on these really hot days.

So here we start July. I am gearing up for stress as there are a ton of vacations. I have 2 mondays off because I could not touch a full weeks vacation and I could not get any Friday's off. I am covering for people who are out and training people via phone. Will BUL through. I have a week off in August where all I was to do is go to a couple beaches. Funny how fast has the Summer flies.
