ravena_kadeHad a great few days away on a Phoenix Sword Troupe trip to New Jersey. It was a fun Renaissance Fair at a Glass and Pottery Museum. The weather was perfect. The travel was easy and while I helped carry things I felt relaxed and enjoyed myself. I also slept well... more than the usually 4 hours f sleep...and no spreadsheets ;-)
I also played a peasant...a fishwife... and I find I really like throwing and slapping people with fish... Strange. So this personal will be a fishwife who turns pirate ;-)
I was able to take photos and I think some came out well. I now have a promise to keep for myself and go out and fill a memory card with photos..good photos... and once I do that I can justify my new computer...as log as I am not laid off in the fall.
Work is weirder. People are upset that hourly employees have to punch a time clock...and that instead of an hour lunch we have only 30 minutes for lunch and two 15 minute breaks. Meanwhile those 1 grade higher get to keep their hour lunch and come and go when they please as they are salary. My boss cornered me because she is concerned that I may punch in with the real hours I work...and she would be screwed. As a result they took away the account I was having trouble with and gave it back to the person who crafted the stupid spreadsheet. Im not sad. The person knows what the columns stand for. When I get rid of the VISA work I will ask her to train me as the tea lead sucks at training.
Today was hard as reports were missing and servers were down...all business as usually when the team lead is on vacation.
Spent some time in the garden... still trying to fix things from the yard construction. The contractor cousin hasn't been back 8 days. I am slowly moving his crap to the driveway. It is killing all the grass. Dad says I shouldn't move it as they may need to carry it back. I dont care. If I can carry the heavy ladders and barrels and such then it should be easy for the burly construction guy to move it. Besides all the work that needs to be done is finish work inside the house. They may need the saw outside, but nothing else.
