just poking my head in. i realized i never got back in here since my entire hard drive died.i tried for a couple days to get back into LJ but they wouldn't email me a password reset, so that acct my be lost as well.

I've seen people with big titles like that at small companies (hell, I've was officially a Director once, with zero direct reports!!!). But I've never heard of someone being a VP at a global company with just a small of worker bees as direct reports. Usually a VP would be managing managers, not workers.
