ravena_kadeOnce again I struggled in work with a formula in excel. I spent an hour on it. I think that it maybe a key on my keyboard that doesn't work. Once I got the formula to work I then had to find there difference. I spent 2 hours looking at a 20,000 line spreadsheet trying to find duplicate loan payments and to read the entire sheet it has to me in font 5. I cant f-ing see that small. I got it to a 190 difference and asked the team lead to look at the work and tell me what I missed. I color coded my work and saved it in a test folder so we could go over it together. I want to learn this and I am getting angry that no one will tell me what I am doing wrong. The team lead comes back and says she got it to work. Great. I asked if she saw where I missed and if she could tell if my formula was correct. She says she didn't know as she didn't look at my work. It was faster just to do it from scratch. THEN. HOW. AM. I. SUPPOSED. TO. LEARN. I was furious. said if you are not going to teach me then this should be give to someone else. That statement was ignored.
I did buy myself a new 24 in monitor so I can see better. I now need to see if there is a way to sort a column so all duplicates are highlighted or come to the top of a column.
The new lap top also looses internet connection twice an hours... while my personal devices do not loose the connection. I need to see if the help desk can look at the VPN drives.
On Tuesday I have a doctor's appointment for a cancer screening for cancer that I have run into before. It took me a few months to get the appointment. Last week they finally set up a meeting for me to discuss training on the VISA function I do and they pick the time that I am at the doctor's office. I declined the meeting saying that I had a medical test and could the meeting be rescheduled. I never heard back from anyone. I go to the boss and the boss' boss and they tell me that they are going to have the meeting without me. Ummm... I am the SME. I am the only one in all of North America that knows this function. How are you having a training meeting without me?!!!? The think the team lead can set up a schedule without me being there. Ummm... how can someone who has never done the job tell people who long the training will go?
