Apr. 26th, 2022 09:29 pmTuesdays are tough at work. Makes my head pound. Oi.
The lilacs are setting buds, They should bloom soon I am not please that they yard looks like a junk yard from the construction crap from Dad's deck build. The contractor cousin hasn't been back in a week, but has left crap all over the place.
I have been collecting scallop shells on the beach by my house. Been looking into the symbolism around them. I have one friend who found it a symbol of a journey he took in Spain. In my readings it is a shell associated with a couple of Goddesses and of sex ;-)
Once the trains are working (several lines have construction going on) I am going to head North and start my beach wanderings. It will be good to get out in the fresh air.
First will be Revere beach..the most moon snail filled beach I have ever been to. It also has a friend clam shack at the end of the walk ... yummy.
The second will be up in Manchester By The Sea. A woman I met last year told me about a place called Tuck's point and how she found a lot of Sand Dollars there. It is a little over a mile fro teh train station so it will be a nice walk and best not done when too hot.
I also may take a ferry out to Spectacle Island. They say there is sea glass there. They also say that you are not supposed to take the glass as the island is a park. My Great Grandfather worked there when it was a dump. That explains the sea glass. It was reclaimed quite a few years ago and now they run ferries to there for the beach and park.
Id like to try and make it to Maine, but I am not sure it will be in the cards. I can hope. Summer is so short.

Yep, scallop shells are a famous medieval pilgrim badge!
