ravena_kadeI still can get that formula to work on a spread sheet. Without no one to watch my hands no one can tell me what I am doing that is causing it not to work. I spent 2 hours trying it over and over and over and over again...
The new director stopped by to assure me that they will be moving VISA soon even though the claims department is reluctant. He even suggested that the Boston Boss and I go to Rhode Island and train in person. Ummm... I cant get there from here. They are in another state with no public transportation. And even if I went with teh Boston Boss I would have find a way to her house before 6 AM and she lives in a part of the state that has no public transportation. She is also someone I would rater hit with a car than ever take a ride with. Oi. We shall see how this develops.
Then at 10 AM I get a message on the lap top that says its running low on memory. Not sure why as it is not even 2 years old and I dont store many things. I go into the c drive to see if there s anything large or old that I can purge. There seems to be nothing unusual. I call the help desk and they look and agree with me. They do some poking around and think it maybe some hidden update causing this They cant help me, but will open a ticket for me.
I look at a few more things and then I get a message that the c drive has 0 memory left and email and other things wont work properly. I try to escalate my ticket as I cant work. 2 hours later and I am fuming. The new director walks by and I decide to stop him and ask if he can pull any strings to get me some help. He does and I can now go see someone. They tell me that the help desk borked the laptop. IF they had sent me to this guy at 10 AM they would not have used up all the remaining memory and he could have fixed my machine. His profile sign ons needed 500MB of memory to work. In the end it took 2 hours of running back and forth to get a new lap top built for me. All the cords are different so I am sent away with several adopters. I stayed until 4:30 to make sure all my progress worked.
I get the sucker home and I find out that they ap top has wifi disabled and I do not have the authority to turn it on. WTF. I usually work from an either net cable but that wasn't working. I called the help desk and since I was not on the internet they could not help me. After an hour and a half of fiddling with the thing I figured out that the Ethernet to lightning adaptor was broken...luckily had one from something else. Now I can at least work and when I go into the office on Tuesday ask about the wifi issue.
In other news the yard is a mess with contractor crap all over the place. The inspector came and approved the cement footings so they have started to build the structure. I am hoping it's done by May.
I thought we were being nice by leaving a door open so they could use the rest room and I come home and find piss all over the down stairs bathroom floor. PLEASE. Really? WTF.
Afterwork tomorrow I am headed out west to see my friend Rachel and help her with a house project. It will be good to see her. The last time we were able to get together was in 2019. I look forward to the train ride out west. I can relax and nap.
