ravena_kadeYesterday I walked the beach at 7 AM. I still wasn't the first one on the sand. I did find a hinged bay scallop shell. That is a rare find.
Came home at 8 AM and my phone git busy with texts.
The weather was varied all day. Sun, rain, hail, sun, down pour. Really odd. As a result I did not work in the garden. Instead I did inside chores and responded to the phone. It was nice to hear from my friend.
This morning I did get to go outside and work in the garden. I trimmed the butterfly bushes. I was happy to find signs of new growth on the one I thought was dead.. I will prop it up and feed it and see just how well it goes. I should know in a couple of weeks if I can save it.
Dad is going to go forward with the addition of a deck on the house. I wanted to wait but the composition material I want to use is going to take a jump in price. He has saved for most of it on his own... and it will increase the value the house so I am okay with it. I will give him the tax refund because I always use that for home improvements. I just hope it is done before July.
Tomorrow I finally have a plumber in to fix my sink. The pipe has been leaking and I have not done dishes upstairs for a bit. It will be good to have it fixed.
Because the plumber will be working in my kitchen... and my work desk is in my kitchen I decided to get some work done tonight. I see that there is a 9 AM meeting about maybe a new work schedule. This bank just doesn't know what it is doing. It should be interesting.

Date: 2022-04-11 11:40 am (UTC)That is sad to hear that materials like decking are still going up in price, sigh. Good to go ahead and do it then. We need a new deck badly. I prepped it and painted it over the summer but I see it is starting to peel again. Ours is hard for us to justify replacing as it is in an area that is far away from our back door so we don't even use it.
Nice to get the plumber in!
