Apr. 3rd, 2022 09:14 amYesterday I slept in late. I slept through the alarm. That was unusual. I find it odd that as I get closer to returning to the office that I am not hearing the alarm.
I took my Lobster rolls over to my friends house around 11 and had a nice visit. Stayed until 2. I could tell she was getting tired. It was a nice visit. I planted seeds for her and set them up by her window. Ill go back and help pot them when they get bigger.
I came home and worked in the yard. It was WINDY. I dont know what is with the wind the last 2 years. It is brutal... I feel like I should be in Oklahoma...you where...where the wind comes crashing down the plains... It felt good to get a head start on the yard. I filled a 60 gallon barrel with yard waste.
On a sad note I think my 8 ft butterfly bush is dead, It was blown over in the November storm that caused us to loose power for 5 days. I should be seeing signs of new growth.
I have to think of a replacement. Maybe another. Maybe Mexican sunflower that I think grows from seed to a 7 ft bush of orange flowers. I will research.
Today I am stiff from the yard work. Pandemic life had really killed my stamina. I need to get active and regain my stamina for things. This year I have some digging to do. Moving a shrub and some perennials. I am homing to get an hour a day out in the yard...we shall see if the weather cooperates.
In a bit it is the Sunday visit with the cousins. No ceramics today as they are baby sitting their toddler grand nephew. Nice enough little 3 year old, but they let him run amok. (My mom was over protective and a control freak so that's my background) He is overwhelming for their Mom so I will visit with her in another part of the house (its a big house) for a bit.
