I am not the Crone I thought I was... oh well. Maybe next year ;-)

When I taught Sunday school they had a session where you told kids what colors meant in religion... Orange was lust. Yeah... I read that wearing an orange sweater and had my toenails painted orange . Yesterday as was listening to a podcast of a different spirituality that I lean to now and it said... Orange is the color of energy, joy, and creativity... better,

I went to the office today to see if I could find my desk..and to make sure my ID worked. I get in around 5 AM and would not like to be locked out of the building at that hour. I was please the I am on an end cap. I also found that one of my nice coworkers went around and stole extra monitors for 3 of us. Double monitors will certainly help my eyes. While not my pick of days, it will be good to get out of the house. I hope teh separation of home and work will put me in a mood to paint again. The endless spreadsheets at home kill me.

I enjoyed being on the trains today. Trains = freedom for me. And when I am on a train I cant do chores for other people ;-)

This weekend I am making lobster rolls and bringing them to a friend. It's her birthday and she was supposed to visit her family, but she fell and fractured her foot so she is home.

I also hope to start working in the yard. I have been wanting to get out since the neighbors put up the fence..makes my yard look tidy and I now have a blank palette for the fence boarder.

Yikes. And WTF.

I don't remember "leaning" that in my CCD classes. Jeeze.
I thought Yellow "was the color for prostitutes" in the ancient and early medieval world....Having only "learned" that back in Art History classes in colludge 23 years ago.

I guess in both cases because it's coming from an "authority figure" or teacher/professor then it must be true and you don't necessarily question it.

...But then yellow shows up a whole lot in common fashion in all of those Renaissance paintings I had to study and have seen since....So....Lotsa whoring going on?

Also, I thought Orange was about "independence" with the whole Netherlands/Dutch Independent States thing?

So does that mean eating carrots makes you horny? I guess maybe it's the shape of carrots that are suggestive?

Oh whoops there I go again, just like in Sunday school, asking waaaay too many difficult questions.
Gotta go sit in the corner and confess my sins.
....Oh wait aren't Dunce caps white, not yellow or orange?....

Glad the office set up isn't as bad as it might have been. I like train travel, too. My first job was with British Rail working from an office on platform 1 of a fairly large station in a big railway town. I loved that job.

Have a nice time with your friend at the weekend and enjoy those lobster rolls :)

I hope you get a chance to be outside this weekend. Even just pulling weeds can feel like such a connection to the ground and nature. :-)
