Sunday night boss sent an email asking for our PTO. Usually she asks for at least 2 weeks. Im okay with that. This time she asked for 4 weeks. I cant d that as I am waiting for family to tell me when they are visiting and the craft shows and things I like to do are not posted yet. In Monday's surprise get ready to go back into the office to be controlled better meeting she said we could have to the end of the Month. Okay.

Today she wanted it before I left for a couple days off. I said I though we had until the end of the month. She said I was the last one and she wanted to get it over with. I said that I did not have the dates my family would be coming home yet. She said make "make then tell you" I said they don't know yet. She asked "Why not?"

I said well I am the lowest person her with seniority so why don't you just approve the others and I will work around them. I do know I would like the first week in august. I can put down days and then work around others. She sad I could not do that. Ummm... I dont know when my family is coming home.

So after being bullied I put down all holiday days...knowing she will have to deny them. I only have 5 days in August. Everything else is scattered.

I have never worked anywhere that wanted ALL your PTO up front. It will change as what if I am sick or my Dad is sick.

Im sure she will reprimand me when I get back

Im also sure that if I need a day off I will just call in sick.

Well this year is a bust.

Ugh. She's doing this because she's lazy and just wants to get everything scheduled and not have to think about it later.

And I'm pretty sure she's not getting paid to be lazy.

Jeez, that's so inflexible, she can't even organise holiday days in a sensible, fair and consistent way.
