ravena_kadeToday rubbed me completely the wrong way.
It started just after midnight. I believe something the cousins served was a bit off... and I was up all night... fun
Read an email from the VP that mentioned people's anniversaries. Found out that the woman they moved to the recommended area actually has been in teh bank for 19 years.... NINETEEN...and has been in a department using spreadsheets for 19 years...and calls every day about how she screwed up the spreadsheets. The think is that at 19 years even though she is not able to do much work, like the dinosaur, she will outrank me and get to pick all her vacation days before I get any of mine
The I read an email where the boss wants us to schedule every pto day... but none of mine will be approved until everyone else gets theirs. I have had this conversation every year Witcher. Why should I submit anything if everything may be denied because she only values seniority. It used to be pick 2 weeks. Now its every day? I cant do that.
Then the 19 year person calls me because she didnt understand the team leader and had me on the phone for an hour.
The we have a surprise meeting stating that we may be going back in the office fast and while we were told for 2 years that we would be in the office 2 days a week that it is now 3 days a week. Okay. The aggravating thing is that we all need to be in Monday's and Fridays because they believe the workers need to be controlled. We had a record breaking 2021 and they tell us we need to be controlled? The CEO had been telling us 2 days. Friday she told us 2 days. Monday at 8 AM we now need to be controlled. I know English isn't her first language, but come on. Controlled?
The team leader called me after because I was behind on some reports. I said it is because I started at 5:30 AM instead of 4 AM. I was sick all night, but did't want to call in. I told her that I was sorry if I sounded bitchy. We chatted. She was also rubbed wrong today. The pto thing passed her off too. She has 6 weeks and cant put them all down now as a lot will be dealing with taking care of legal things since her husband died last month...and things with her daughter.
I told her I was tired of killing myself and every tom dick and harry gets treated better than the me by the Boston Boss because of seniority... even people who cant even do any work. I am tired of starting early everyday and being told I'm not fast enough when I do more accounts than the 3 other people on the team. My raise was enough to buy a soda a week... and I am not fast enough and need to be controlled ? WTF.
She has her own issues. If they do not let her work from at home she has to leave. She will not get a vaccine and she needs to be at home for her home schooled daughter. There is no need for her to come to a building 3 or 4 days a week. The other 2 people from PA wont get vaccinated either so they may be fired. She is stressed and is still grieving. She hopes they lay her off because they choices would be made for her.
If she goes I know that Boston boss will shift all the team leads work to me and I don't know it...and I don't want to know it. Not for $2 and a review that says adequate.
I have a short week. I am looking forward to getting away for a few days.

I can see why it rubbed you the wrong way. Because it's all wrong. =(
