ravena_kadeToday was a complicated day. I started work at 3:30 am so I could be finished enough to leave for the funeral .
The service was nice. A granddaughter gave the eulogy.. It was loving and well written. I hope the service gave the family some comfort. The Church was the one I made my First Common and Confirmation in, but I am no longer part of that faith.
There is a point where people give the sign of peace...not a peace sign... ;-) I hugged my Dad and he did not even try to hug back. That will stick with me.
After they had booked a hall at a local restaurant. The meal was lovely and people got to see people that they hadn't seen in any many years.
