I worked 4 hours on Saturday, 2 hours on Sunday and started at 4:30 AM today. I am tired. Its funny...if it was physical work it would be no sweat. But staring at endless spreadsheets is like shoveling against the tide. The Boston Boss is on vacation and teh team leader isn't back from bereavement.
At one point I went to the really smart young woman that works in PA and worked with the team leader for years (and socializes with her) and I asked if she had spoken to the team leader since the funeral services. I said that I had lost an aunt las week and the team leader and her daughter were on my mind. I wanted to reach out but didn't want the team lead to think I was just trying to find out when she was coming back.
The answer I got was "Yeah I saw her"
That was it.
I find that strange...
so much for being on a team... or trying to be.
