Its the last day of the year... Oh Boy.

This week's better than last week mentally. Christmas is tough for me. I have lost my Christmas friends and chosen family. It is what it is and life changes, but sometimes it just feels like being kicked .

I bought my self 2 presents... a small box of Gaudy Nautica shells ... you can really find anything and everything on Etsy. I find itemizing that people make money selling shells. The shells are pretty I am happy to have them but I look forward to finding my own. These are lovely, but they don't have a memory attached to them... every seashell I have has a memory with it... even if I have forgotten it ;-)

I also bought myself some french watercolors... I was bad and mad (over work) and never pulled out any watercolor this year. Sennelier watercolors...Fancy French watercolors. I did not buy the box of 96 times for $800... Too rich for me, but I did get 48 half pans. Now I need to just use them.

My team leader and her small family were sick Christmas. Yesterday she had to take her husband to the ER. She and her 11 year old daughter waited 6 hours in the car for him. I guess they are a 2 hour drive away from a hospital. They went home and at 1:30 this morning she had to call an ambulance. She is not allowed in the hospital and is waiting to go and get him. She has not heard anything back.

My Boss also got sick at Christmas. She thinks it may be Covid. She cannot get an appointment to be tested until January 9th. Her husband is out trying to get some at home tests.

Tonight I go and visit my older friends. I suggested playing games and having snacks. We shall see.

I am hoping tomorrow is Chinese food with the cousins.

Sunday I am sending dad off alone to watch football so I can putter around the house.
