ravena_kadeYesterday was a a shit show at work. I started at 3:30 AM and was behind all day. My computer had an upgrade that caused me not to be able to access a system for reporting. The boss knew I was 4 hours behind because of it. Then we also didnt receive reporting that usually comes up at 2:30 AM...the reason I started early in the first place. We didnt get that because the smart girl made changes to the reporting but did not turn on forward option...
I told the boss the issues several times. I said I needed to catch up and then I would call the help desk. Her answer was to have me on hold and on the phone for 2 hours...and no help.
AT the staff meeting she asked people if they had anything to report. Several pointed out that I had not done my work yet. She comes to me and I state the systems issues and that I may not be able to do all the accounts. I asked for help. No one offered back. No one. I asked what could be left undone. The answer was nothing. I was told just to take one task at a time and not stress. Okay I will get as far as I can.
They also mentioned that another vice president gave his notice. He said he was retiring... he's not even 50 yet. This means that the boss has no boss again. She said there there is nothing we can do, its frustrating, but just do one task at a time... there is no help for us. Ummm... sure. I wish she would retire. We could do better as a team...not always isolated/segregated from each other, but no one cares.
Since the team model is no team I have no intention on helping the other Pennsylvania person on the team. I am tired of taking her work every time she has to be out at the drop of a hat. She could have offered to help me. She never responded to any of my emails saying had was having troubles with the reporting and that I would get what she needed asap. In the meeting she said that she was good and finished her work.
The team leader is back next Friday. I know she will help because the work all has her name on it.
