Its a cold and chilly

Last night I had news about a friend in hospice. No treatments are working to halt the ovarian cancer that she was diagnosed with last year. They are giving her 6 months to live.

Its a good night to get cozy with the kitty and watch TV.

Tomorrow I am going to a craft show. Maybe I will work on a ceramic project after the show.

Right now she has hospice just coming in to see her, but she is on her own until organs stop working or she falls and gets hurt.

Her kids want her in a nursing home, but she is not sick enough to be in a nursing home for care. All she needs is someone to help her with groceries until she gets sicker. The sad part is that the kids haven't seen her since May since they think she is lying. A social worker has tried talking to them but they are refusing all contact saying that their Mother is paying someone to lie. My friend who worked with the disabled people has stepped in to be a contact and the 2 of us will do her shopping. It's sad. The sad part is that the kids are my age. I have known them since High school. I shake my head as I would have given my arm not to have my Mom tortured in a nursing home.

She needs to involve a lawyer NOW NOW NOW and get those asshole kids' names off of EVERYTHING.

My friend has suggested that to her... both of her daughters own houses and such so they don't need anything. My friend suggested that the 401k be given to the animal shelter where she rescued her cats from.

Any money in the bank will be used for a house keeper.

My hope is that since my first will be doing all the care taker stuff that the daughters wont have any "fears...or what ever bullshit it is" and that they will see her, especially if she is alive for Christmas. Not forth daughters' sake but for their Mom.

OMG yes, what the hell is wrong with her kids? I can see being in denial, but claiming that their mother is lying about dying of cancer? I don't understand people sometimes.
