ravena_kadeToday was a better day at work. Still put in more than 8 hours, but I was on a roll and was able to wrap my head around a few things. Hopefully I will get the answers I need soon.
My Team leader is still nice and checks in with me. I appreciate that. I know she was a manager many years ago so she knows what to do with people.
Tonight I went to a paint party thing at a community center in my cousins' neighborhood. The paintings were supposed to be Van Gough's sunflowers. I didnt have high hopes because I heard of the reputation of the person giving the class. She runs the community center and elder center there. She is also contracted to teach arts and crafts. I went there to see what it is like and to see if there is a way to get my name in with the city because I really want to do arts and crafts in a teaching environment.
Well lets just say that I have what it takes... and with delivery services I would not need a car to do this. As far as painting goes she had the crappiest paints and brushes and her idea of teaching was to show people a photo of the steps on her iPad while she chatted with her Mom about a date she went on. Oh boy.
It was not a total loss. I liked the lady that sat next to me and there was nice conversation. We laughed a lot. I ended up helping her
Now I need to see if I can find the community center in my neighborhood. I can volunteer to teach a ceramics class and get known by folks that work with the city.

Date: 2021-08-13 12:22 pm (UTC)I am hoping the team leader i telling the Boston Boss how much work I can get out there and that she needs me for her team and how I should not be doing the claims work. If they get rid of the claims work I would be a tad board, but y pay is okay and I would never speak to Boston Boss again aside from a good morning greeting.
I have been looking at outside jobs, but a cut $8 an hours is $64 a day. I need to get laid off and a package transition into that pay cut.
