I just don't know if I can look at the Boston Boss and not have a murderous look in my eye.

Everyone I chatted with is gone and the other workers on the tiny team prefer to speak Vietnamese.

I am trying to think of the plusses of going back into the office:

I can easily get back and forth to Boston as I did pre COVID. I shopped and socialized by train and in town.

If I am to be treated like crap, I wont be treated that way in my own home. I resent that immensely.

I wont work 10 hour days. I cant start early because the first train is at 5:28 AM. I just dont know how that will go because I cant keep up now with the 10 hours.

I will get my walking back in. Not sure if dad can fit me in the car now that he drives more people to his work. Sadly I know they will be a priority =/

I am hoping my creativity comes back...the depressing shit will be out of the house so I will have separation between work and real life.

I may see about activating the wifi on my iPad so I can watch video at lunch. We may not be allowed to have a cafeteria. I know will add some music.

I will get my kitchen back.

I will start wearing my jewelry. Perhaps my perfume too. One of my coworkers wears a lot of perfume and no one seems to be scent sensitive.


I may change up my hair and clothes too. I know I wasn't as red a red head when I was in the office.

Oh well. I should go to bed. I have friends coming over for a cook out full of sausage. In the morning I need to make the pasta salad, green salad, and get the farm strawberries and blueberries macerating for desert... fruit and cake with whipped cream...and non dairy topping for those that cant do dairy.

This is the down side of home working in a culture where workers are treated as badly as they are where you are!

I've finally gone back to jewellery and perfume but no make up yet because &*()"! masks. I've spent most of my life through all this in jeans and t shirts, but even the summer dresses have come out.

Your father's attitude does not impress me. Maybe he can do his own cooking for a while then?

Dad isn't impressing me much either ;-)

I am amazed at how much my Mother kept him in check.

The cousins support his attitude so I asked if he could've in with them.

Dad cant read any instructions and has never cooked so I would be stuck teaching him. He calls me when I leave him food to heat up to walk him through the microwave. I can leave him a salad or sandwich and he can get trough that without calling me.

There's no reason you should. If you can't get your work done in the office in 40 hours, then they need to either give you less work or hire some extra help. They're not paying you enough to have you working overtime like that!
