I have the mid winter blahs...like a lot of people.

I am not thriving in the work from home/shelter in place environment. I want the sea.

There is a phone photography page on face book that I follow. There is a woman that posts photos of sea shells she finds on her walk on the beach each day. The beach is Lido beach in Sarasota Florida. It's on the gulf coast. Someday I would like to go there.

I found an Italian Mango Sorbetto that is really good. I never knew there were Italian Mangos =)

Frankie has been with us for 4 years. Such a good cat.

Tomorrow I am visiting my elder friends. I have not seen them since Christmas Eve. After I had COVID they had a COVID scare so I have been staying away. Well both have had their vaccines and have invited me over for dinner.

Saturday I bring Dad to get his first vaccine shot.

This Morning I received a phone call telling me that my Dad's youngest sister passed away. She had a brain tumor. She was hospitalized a couple weeks ago bit no one could see her because of COVID times. Sad.

I know what you mean about mid-winter blues. This long lockdown and being mostly on my own is getting to me and I am staying sane by doing ancestry and watching films. I long for a road trip somewhere.

As it happens they do grow mangoes in Italy these days- that's climate change for you!

I'm sorry for your dad's loss. It sucks that Covid is making deaths and funerals even harder. =(
