Dec. 31st, 2020 04:37 pmI yesterday I received a text from the lead cousin. Her sister s sick and is getting a COVID test today. Oh boy. I feel fine. Today I get a text at 7 AM. A younger cousin who was at the house Christmas tested positive for COVID yesterday. Oh Boy.
I have been house bound for 5 days. No symptoms. I was supposed to deliver a meal to the elder friends I visited Christmas eve, but I cancelled. The fancy cheeses I bough will keep a month and so will the wine. I will Quarantine for 10 more days and get a test if the cousin who was tested today comes back positive. When the younger cousin was in the house I kept my distance and a mask on because they were not part of the Quarantine club. If the sister cousin test positive I will get tested because I sat next to her unmasked on Sunday.
I feel bad as the younger cousin has been really careful and is scared of COVId. She almost died 2 years ago from pancreatitis and her immune system will never be normal. She wasn't feeling sick. Her job tests her twice a week because she works with disabled people. I hope she stays symptom free.
As for the Cousins with the 92 year old Mom, I can only recommend that they dont have younger people in the house for the rest of the winter and then do what I do...meet in the yard come spring and summer.
So my NYE will e quiet. Im glad. I have my Champagne to toast in the New Year. I have some groceries and others will be delivered. I just have to figure out what to ffed Dad and not have him drive me cray.
