ravena_kadeI hope people are having a good day...what ever they are doing.
This year is different. There is COVID and then there was the death of Patti in October. She hosted the Christmas Eve gathering that I had gone to for 39 years. I did visit her sister DQ and her roommate as this is their first holiday without Patti. It was subdued.
Today I gave Dad his gifts and opened gifts from my sister and a couple of friends. Thank you friends...your gifts meant a lot.
I bought Dad a smart TV that I will have hook up for him. DQ has the same TV so I should be able to look at hers to figure things out. I bought it so he could watch tv in his room...either in bed or as he uses his tread mill. Once I set up my iPad I will hook that TV up with Brit Box and Disney plus.
Went the cousins. I made a salad and they had American Chop Suey for dinner. They watched golf with no sound on the TV all day. Oi.
Tomorrow Dad is going back to watch football. There are 3 games. I am staying home. Maybe I will have a lobster dinner.

Ma and Dad did not support the racist crap going on with forced busing in the 1970s... we did Chinese food. Dad finally figured out it wasn't a holiday if Ma had to struggle making a big meal on her own. We enjoyed the Chinese food a lot.
