Today one side of the house was dark. The No'r Ester battered the ocean side the house with ice and snow. My windows are caked with 2 inches ice. I could open one window up and I tried to break through the ice with a hammer. I could not use that method because the ice is imbedded onto the vinyl screens. Replacement windows do not have metal screens I was afraid I would rip the vinyl. If it does not melt tomorrow morning I will need to take a hair dryer to it.

I did do some Christmas crafting. It felt good. I made some ceramic Christmas boots for the waitresses that are nice to my Dad. They are filled with candy. I also made some ceramic snowmen for my Dad's sisters. Tomorrow we will take a ride and leave gifts on their porches. I wanted to have them over for dinner but the COVID numbers are too high in their cities and they are in contact with school kids that are not remote learning.

While we are delivering gifts I will stop in Ipswich and pick up some Christmas fried clams for take out.

Yikes, ice that thick on the windows!! Luckily it it supposed to hit the 40's again this week, so that stuff should drop off shortly. Don't risk breaking a window!
