Left the house at 8"30 to finish Dad's Christmas shopping... It was in town and much easier to get there by train than try and find a place to park.

I stopped into a Trader Joes and remembered how much I love Trader Joes. The I working in Boston proper I was there once a week.

Once home made Dad's lunch and then helped him with a gift he is giving to the baby cousin. Vinny the baby turned 2. The are having a cake for him tomorrow. Dad had me order him a big wheel (a low rider tricycle). I helped him put it together... he doesnt read instructions... but these days things are not as easy to put together as they were when I did it for my toys.
Then I wrapped it.

After that I decorated the Christmas tree for downstairs and cooked a New England Boiled Dinner for dinner. I love smoked shoulder. It is big enough that I can get 3 meals out of it.
It tasted good.

Now I am up in my apartment relaxing. Im too tired to work on Christmas crafts. Maybe tomorrow after quarantine ceramics. One cousin called me and said that she wants to make a gift for her Christmas grab. I said that was fine but I am not there on the 20th. She hasn't painted anything since October.

I love Trader Joe and wish we had the stores here. I used to buy their pumpkin body butter online which cost an arm and a leg because of the shipping cost, but then I discovered the Body Shop's vanilla pumpkin body butter which is as nice and doesn't bankrupt me :)

What's in your New England Boiled Dinner?

The New England boiled dinner is a smoked pork shoulder, cabbage, carrots onion potato and turnip. Its like the Corned beef and cabbage that we eat at St. Patricks Day.
