ravena_kadeToday I ad one goal for work. I finished up the drug work about 8:30 and then I tried to get into the system where I want to do some training...and I cannot. I am getting an error that says some plug in doesn't exist. Frustrating as I was in the ssytem Friday. On Tuesday I could not get in. Spent 2 hours with the help desk and got back in. Wednesday I was in for a couple hours. Today the same error and over an hour on the phone with the help desk. This is the only thing I want to learn on this position. THE.ONLY.THING. Frustrating. This tech guy could not fix teh permissions on my computer so a ticket has been opened. I referred him to the ticket I had open yesterday...bt he could not achieve the same results. This training is like pulling teeth.
There was a surprise meeting at 11:45. The Boss in PA seems to like that time slot for surprises. Personally I think she picks that time just before lunch so folks wont ask questions. She also has meetings with her supervisors at 3 PM on Fridays...and no one asks questions.
We were told the Head of operations is being let go in January and a new head is coming in from overseas. Hmmm... I have been in the bank 7 years and this is the 5th operations officer. If they were using the office they should put in a revolving door. The trouble involves the computer systems...and what they wont fix are teh computer systems. They blame the people and not the crap system. I expect lay offs in February or March....blame the workers not the systems that suck. Maybe they will be smart about it and lay off the old time middle managers that are only counting the days until they are 65.
Tonight I am cold and tired. I put the heat on. Tomorrow it will be 60 degrees. This weather is crazy.
