So

The younger cousin who has the wonder baby...well ...really wonder toddler... Vinnie tested positive for COVID. She brought Vinnie to the cousins Saturday night. I was there Sunday for a couple hours for ceramics. The cousins are all piling in the van and getting tested tomorrow. They were told there could be a 3 hour wait.

I don't feel there will be an issue with me...but I will still isolate.

I am miffed a bit. One because this younger cousin went out and partied with friends... Fine... do that...but you just brought this home to your child... and now your 92 year old grandmother.

Two, I tried to find a place for testing in my area and they are either all booked up, or only accessible by car...for car.s.....like you drive up and the swab you while you are in the car. Umm... gee, what about car less people? Disabled , elderly, poor...

I could go into a Boston hospital with an appointment...but just by walking through the door of the hospital you are surrounded by germs...

I will call a place up the street from me to see if I can stand in line with the cars when an appointment opens.

and now I cant go to a dentist to deal with my teeth if I wanted to.

I hope the cousins are all okay, and you. Hopefully the place up the street will let you go there for a test. Otherwise self isolating for fourteen days, whilst not ideal or convenient, will stop any spread if you do have it. Difficult with your dad, obviously.

For many Americans that is a alien concept. Cars are a sign of success here....

Not that I believe that.

But I get a lot of disrespect for not driving.
