Dad gained an ounce Saturday night and 4 ounces last night.

I called the cardiologist. I wanted them to go over the Ecco he had on the 16th... the word regurgitation was listed several times. I also wanted I'm checked for fluid. Mostly because I cant tell if he has fluid and his weight just doesn't go down to the 160 They tell me he should be at. I think the last time he weighted 160 was when he was 25 years old. This weight and fluid stuff it pushing my personal anxiety out the window.

They just returned my call...at 3PM. Too late to do anything. I get to up the fluid pills, but watch out for consequences... yeah great. Passing out...and perhaps death... They want to dry him out again. That screws up his GI tract...to be polite. They will call me back with an appointment to get him in there.

The regurgitation means his valves are leaking. They are worse. It could be just because he has fluid. Or it could be that they are causing the fluid. So once he is dried out the we have to go back for another ecco...

Then it could be more meds... or valve surgery on all the valves. Trying not to let this spiral in my head. It means another fall like last year. I wont dwell on that... too much.

Sigh.

I was tagged by a dog tonight. An 18 month old husky. Not neutered. He's been a bit mouthy, but many young dogs are like that in the shelter. People get these outdoor dogs and keep them in and dont walk them. Then dump them at the shelter. Oi He walked well when I first took him out, but as we got to a main street the cars seemed to ramp him up. He started jumping at me and grabbing my arm. I know not to pull my arm out, but instead to push my arm into him so I still have control... but I slid on the grass. Technically that is not a bite. I pushed him over to a flag pole and tied him to it and called for help. Oi.
