Sep. 8th, 2021 05:50 pmYesterday was very overwhelming because of taking over someone's work while they were on PTO.
I reached out to the Boston Boss for something that is a risk and she never responded.
I know that the new VP is riding her ass. but I think I still should have had a "keep me in the loop" response.
Today was better. I started early and after the team leader's vacation next week I wont do that again.
I actually took some things from teh team leader while she worked on other issues.
At the end of teh day she sends me a messaging asking me to run a ew report first thing in the morning... if query would be sent to me by another person. I stayed late to make sure I understood who to run the report...I hate getting new info 10 minutes after I am supposed to leave for the day =9.
She then tells me not to do a section of work in the morning... I asked if something was wrong. She said no...but then added that she was training someone. I typed back "Training someone?" Then she tried to back pedal. I asked why wasn't I doing the training? More back pedal. I said look... nothing against you and I believe that you just found out, but the has happened to me before. The Boston Boss trained you on the work she forced me to take when they ran the retiree out the door. She said not to worry. Ummm... no worries. I am just disappointed that I am still not treated like someone who belongs on a team. It's a shame. There is nothing I can do about it...but it is still not a nice way to treat people. I work hard. I try to help people who's team I think I am on. I deserve better.
The only worry I have is if they move VISA to Rhode Island or Framingham. The rails are no where near the sad office parks these departments are located in and i would be forced to quit.
I need a package to move on an take a big pay cut. I have been looking but many of the jobs I find are call center jobs or require a degree and a car. I can't do a call center. I am no good at that.
We shall see what happens.
