Jun. 6th, 2021 07:59 pmWhat a difference a week makes. Last week I turned on the heat. This week we have a heat wave.
Helped Dad put in the 3 a/c units for his apartment. Got to keep the elders cool.
Found a green piece of landscape fabric in the cellar and used it to cover the dead grass by the spa. Then filled the spa. So far no leaks. Tomorrow I can soak in cold water.
Went to the cousins while they went to a wake down the cape for cousin of theirs that died last weekend. He just bought a house and his wife is 2 months pregnant. His feet were wet from last weekends rain storm and he slipped sow the stairs and died. Terrible. We watched the 92 year old aunt as she should not be alone at all.
Just put in the a/c in my bedroom and have it gunning. I cannot sleep with the window a/c on because of the noise. I need to save up to install the built in ones...that involves updating my electrical panel and that will be expensive.
Have anxiety over working tomorrow. Since its hot my internet sometimes cuts out so it adds stress to a stupid job. I also do not have a/c in the kitchen. I have ordered one of those air coolers that run on water and see if they actually work.
I think that if I am not laid off I should invest in making an office in teh cellar. Its pretty cool down there and isn't terribly cold in the winter. I just dont want put in that work if the operations reorg plan involves my lay off.
