It is 6F degrees outside... the high for the day should be 9F or 10F.

Later I Taking Frankie Cat to the vet for his shots. I am thrilled taking him out in this weather, but I also need him to have his shots. We put it off when he first came down with the asthma (to make sure it wasn't an infection).

After the Vet my Dad's sister wants us to come over.

In between things I am trying do house chores. When the sick turned into old faithful last week I had to dump out the under sink cabinet... and since mu kitchen is only 8 by 8 it is a mess... so I am organizing before putting things back.

And I am also making soup. One is a sweet potato and carrot soup and the other will be pea soup with a ham bone from my cousins house. Their Mom loves pea soup, but no one else in the house even wants to look at the stuff. I will bring it to her tomorrow when I teach ceramics.

On a good news front my friend who had the leg operation came home yesterday and did not have to go into rehab. While it may be difficult I just fretted that she would end up in a place like my mom because she also has no money.

Sweet potato and carrot soup is fab. I will make it again. Maybe add parsnip too. I know I am a person who needs a mid evening snack... I just do because dinner at Dad time is just way to early. I think a cup of homemade soup is better than cookies. Yes, I am on the healthy eating thing/try again... I need to make my own comfort food and save desserts for the weekend only.

The washer died again and the drain will not drain. Sigh. No kitchen sink and no washer... the bathtub will be getting lots of use. The drain to the washer runs under the cellar floor so to get to the pipe we need to jack hammer.

It also makes ceramics harder as I need the cellar sink for water for the clay. I will have to use buckets up to the second floor. Dad says no...I say it's my house.
