Yesterdays picnic went well... No rain...no fighting... Good.

It was too cold to go into the water so we played board games. If we do it again I will bring cards. I can't shuffle, but Dad doesn't do board games as he doesn't know the rules (and doesn't want to look dumb in a group) He knows cards and he will be involved more.

I also want to bump up some snack ideas for another time. Maybe work on grilled nachos. Andt hen something with fruit. I have a ton of cook books and there is the internet so I should be able to come up with something.

The place was pretty and clean. They had grills there and you could bring your own if you wanted. The life guards were attentive. I was disappointed that you could not walk around the entire pond as the area was divided up into private property. I did see little toads, but the fish could not be seen close. I guess I am still all sea shore and not a pond gal. I do get why we need a lake or pond...many elders can't take the heat and no shade of the seashore.

The contractor cousin, his wife, and adult children has an odd dynamic... they bicker and nit pic each other... Kind of sad as one on one I enjoy their company.

I have either forgotten how to import photos onto photoshop 14 or something is wrong.

Last night I think the kitty was annoyed with both of us being gone all day. He was extra active after 2 AM. At one point I was playing with him and he was playing on my face and popped a claw into my nose... it was not sone maliciously, but it drew blood... owie I expected to look like Jack Nickolson in China Town.

I had a headache most of the day...rigt in the middle of my right eye. Blah. I found that going outside helped and I chased Monarchs and Swallowtails around the yard. I didn't get any photos because it was too breezy for them to light. They love the butterfly bushes that are blooming now.

I also actually went for a dip at the beach down the street. I like salt water better than pond...but this isn't Ipswich. I like to be able to see my feet. In Ipswich I can, but since my bay is a mud bottom bay it gets silty. The sand that is there was trucked in back in 1910. I did get to see minnows. I love being little fish.

Not looking forward to going to work in the morning. I had a stressful week last week. I stayed late serval nights because a tool I was given for the audit reports is a piece of garbage. I asked for help and my boss actually said that if they give us garbage they get garbage. I told her that while I agree I didn't think the point was for me to be tortured. That is not fair....and she said "Oh well, you can't fight city hall".... Ummm...wanna bet...
