This week I got the slow cooker BBQ brisket right. The answer was to rest the meat on some carrots so the bottom would not get too much heat. It turned out nice. I had a BBQ Brisket soft taco for breakfast. Yummy.


We have had heavy rain for a few hours and gale force winds. My power has been blinking on and off. The guy at work lost his power. He said the power company has alerted and that it may be a couple hours. He offered to drive to the office. The boss said he was not allowed in the building...he doesn't understand why not. She wants to force him to take a PTO day. I don't think that is fair. She could have asked him if he could make up the time time week. It's sad, but at least I see she is being a jerk to someone other than me.

I hope I have time to walk the beach before dinner. The winds were coming from the east so all sorts of things could have washed up.

She can't really be a happy person if she makes it difficult for her staff so easily. She must be bitter about something. I hope you get time to walk the beach.

I think she wanted to retire at 62, but her husband had to retire first so she carries the health care. She just turned 60... 2 years to to more than 5 years away can make you bitter. I have doubts that the bank will be here in 5 years.
