Nice not to be working for a few days.

Between work, the loss of the downstairs bathroom ceiling, and my computer repair not going anywhere made it stressful , and the boss was the cherry on top.

I relaxed Friday then headed out west to help friends with a weekend show. Long train rides relax me... mostly because there is nothing I can do but nap or look out the window.

The visit was nice. Had a good time being with non family, and helping where I can. Saturday was long and we carried lots of stuff. The last show was supposed to be at 9 pm, but went a bit early. So tired afterwards that I fell asleep in under 10 minutes. Slept well too.

Sunday was easier. The first show was at 10. It started a bit late but from my vantage point the small audience enjoyed it. The rest of the day was quiet and we packed up early. Made it back for me to grab a train home. Dad and the cat were happy about that.
I slept okay ... but the work computer glowing in the kitchen pulls my brain back to work... bah. I went out and didn’t over an hour at the house beach. It was about 20 minutes after high tide so I walked in the water. It’s still warm. It was nice.

Tonight I head back to the animal shelter. There may not be a lot of dogs, but I can help sanitize the place and chat with the shelter people.

Wait—what did I miss? When/how did you lose the ceiling? :\

On Wednesday I had to have a plumber in because the tub drain pipe was leaking. I could see the marks in the down stairs bathroom ceiling. To check it out the plumber ran the tub and sink and a hole opened in the pipe and flooded the space And the water pushed out the ceiling.

The drain pipe to the the second floor tub corroded and there was a small leak in the ceiling. When the plumber checked it he ran the tub full force and the corroded hole got bigger and caused a bit of a flood, taking out the down stairs bathroom ceiling.

Old houses are a joy.
