Jul. 18th, 2020 09:24 pmToday was the first day I went back on the trains. I had a mask, gloves, and a paper lab coat.
The small rail was fine, only 3 people in my train car.
The commuter rail was fine too.
I walked the mile from the train station and headed to the small Front Beach.Way too crowded. Families only 3 feet apart and no masts. I didn't stop. I walked a couple blocks and found Back Beach... Not really a beach as there is no sand. It is just a place where the ocean meets a strip of land covered in small oval rocks that roll with the surf. The water was refreshing and the surf had just the right sound...and there were only a couple people there... all asked and more than 100 ft away from each other. I found a flat rock and sat for an hour with my feet in the surf. I failed to notice a power boat going by and got soaked by a large wave made by its wake. Again, the water was refreshing.
I then headed to the small art museum and renewed my membership. The hope to have a members show in November.
I bought myself a few things...a splurge. One was a BIG blown glass bee. Its very cute. I bough a hand built ceramic bowl and a green amethyst pendent that I have to make a necklace around.
Lunch was a lovely garden salad topped with 4 ounces of lobster.
The shops were all Corvid prepared. They had big bottles of hand sanitizer and asked if you would sanitize your hands before you picked anything up.
On the way home there was an issue on the commuter rail. A woman in a wheel chair got on. She smelled of liquor and urine. One of the conductors didn't want to let her on because she caused a 30 delay yesterday..but he did say it was too hot to not let her on. He asked what stops was getting off at. When we got there he said it was her stop. She did not respond. He tried to wake her up without touching her. He tapped the wheelchair with his foot. She didn't move. Ma'm Ma'm are you okay. Ma'm. She moaned. Are you with us Ma'm? Talk to me.... He asked if she was in pain...she owned what seemed to be a yes. He asked if it was chest pains.
He called the Engineer and asked for the defibrillator machine and called for an ambulance. e is trying to talk to her. He sounded scared. She didn't respond. He thinks she's having a heart attack. Ma'm if I have to do CPR I have to take you out of your chair. Ma'm. Ma'm please answer me.... Just then the fire department boards the train. One laughs They know the person by name. They call to her and ask if she is okay. She yelled that she had again in her head because this stupid "fucker" would not shut up (meaning the conductor). He's too stupid. to know when a drunk has passed out. They asked her how much she had to drink...she answered "a shit load" They knew her well enough that they took her to her rehab.
The conductor looked whiped out. I said thank you for doing the right thing...lletting her o the train and trying to help her. It's hard.
I stupidly allowed myself to get dehydrated. That will mean leg cramps around 2 AM.. I am drinking water like fish right now in hopes to avoid that.
Today was the first day out walking since March. I need to do more of that.

I haven't been out walking much at all. I need to do something about that, but 90 degree weather is not the right time to start an outdoor exercise routine! =(
