Had another phone call meeting today It was a town hall with every employee that would listen. It was with our CEO. It was all very doom and gloom about the recession...but while business is as bad as 2008 at least the business world is not collapsing like it did in 2008...so that's good, but there still will be lay offs.

They want us to be cheery...yeah...most are depressed over corvid and not being able to vacation and then the give us doom and gloom. Cheery...right.

Today I working on my month end reporting. It is due on the 15. Today the boss says she wants it today because both she and the Pennsylvania boss are both on vacation next week. Umm...really. So Tomorrow is the VPs last day and next week we have no management between us and the CEO... ummm... and poop always hits the fan when my boss is on vacation because other departments wait until she is out to ask for data on audits...mostly because my boss is horrible to work with. The one in charge is the one that got confused because she went to a Round Table conference and the table she sat at was square. She's also the same one that told me to go into the office and steal a faster computer. This should be fun.

The boss is going to California for vacation. I asked if she was driving...and she said no. Ummm...she deserves a disease... sadly people in her path don't.

I am trying to frame it as a win win.

If I can get my work done in 4 hours then I will loaf the rest of the day...hopefully turn that loaf time into some art time while listening for emails.

If the boss gets laid off... Karma.

I am still the only person in North America that does what I do. I can see me getting moved to another boss.

If I get laid off... package and a chance to start over. My needs are few. Mortgage money and money to feed the oil tank. Then it is time to paint and craft and garden. I just have to pay off some debt. The other things to doctor uphill I can as I refuse to take COBRA.

Your boss always wants the sun, the moon and the stars but doesn't give much back. She must be crazy going to California at the moment. She does deserve some payback for all she puts you through so we can only hope...I don't really mean that, I wouldn't wish illness on anyone but maybe something less drastic will befall her ;)
