Work is closing at noon on Friday to observe Juneteenth.
Ummm... how is giving us a few hours off on a Friday going to help with the problem of white men killing black men? I don't just say cops because there is the father and son that hunted down a man and killed him.
Large corps need to put their money where their mouths are. Not sure how. How do you make this change? Weaken the police union? Not sure that will work. Fund programs that have better mental testing for cops so you can weed out someone who will kill based on color? I don't know. You cant set up funds to get the victims lawyers because the are dead. Maybe provide lawyers to the family so they can sue the cops? I don't know.
I am not one to say get rid of the police as there are relatives of mine that could put criminal on their resume... and its the cops that caught then and got them put away. One of the bead his mother and raped his sister and the Dad just wanted to look the other way.
I don't know what the answer is...but me getting out of work early isn't really helping.
