We have had heavy downpours.

We needed the rain. My friends with allergies have been having a hard time with the pollen.

It is making my hands hurt....but on the plush side my back got the rest it needed.

The rain had beaten up my peonies and my yarrow is looking roughed up. Tomorrow I will go out and see if I can prop that up.

The wind blew my potted hibiscus around the yard and knocked off all the flower buds. I think it should grow new ones.

Next in the garden will come the day lily show.

After that the butterfly bush and sun flowers.


I think I really need some whimsical garden art for when the flowers are at a lull.

We had rain a few days ago which flattened a couple of my taller plants and I've had to prop them back up with a cane and string! The day lilies should look lovely, also the butterfly bush (buddleia?). We have a huge one in the garden which attracts lots of butterflies.

This year's pollen has been making me schnottier than usual. :\

The last couple of times I've been out to the car it's been just yellow with pollen. =(
