Today I headed north. I bought Dad 20 worth of scratch tickets and had hm drop me off at a beach up there. I puttered about while he scratched tickets in the car. I did not stay too log as there was a large group of college students on the small beach... all un masked and drinking. That and the police were checking to see if you were a resident. They didn't get to me. The tide was mud low and the beach was lots of small rocks and no seashells. I did bring back 3 rocks for the garden circle. The water was cold, but refreshing.

I hope I can get to my Crane's beach.

We then headed to my favorite garden center...and luckily the ice cream stand on the way there had just opened. Lunch was a socially distant ice-cream. I like ginger.

The garden center was packed. masks. Gloves and hand sanitizer were in order. We picked up a blue Hydrangea for the front...it is a good sized shrub. Dad was a bit shocked that it was $90. I wasn't. I will be planting up the front planters the week.

During the week we are supposed to get rain for the first half. My plan is to garden Memorial Day Weekend. I took the Tuesday off to make it extra long and to get a rest from the work anger.

I am hoping to plan a socially distant BBQ for later the summer... hopefully there will not be a huge virus second wave. Perhaps a shark theme...like shark week. Maybe have a set up for people to make their own grilled pizza.

Stupid stupid stupid unmasked idiots. And why were the police checking residency? Is it not a public beach? :(

all beaches in that town are now residents only because in the beginning of corvid hundreds or tourists were flocking to the beaches. Crane beach is over 4 miles long and people were so crowded that it was hard to keep social distances. People are dumb.

So glad you got to the beach! I'm completely jealous.

I was hoping to get to the beach on my vacation, but it looks like they might still be closed. =(
