So the help desk guy who wrote me a favorable ticket this morning also sent it out of network and to the international IT... and they called me. I almost did not answer a foreign call... they looked at my connectivity and then put a patch in. They hoped that would help. It did at 2 PM...now lets hope it still works at 5 AM tomorrow.
